I thought I'd take some time and space to introduce myself to those of you who don't know me. This fall is the start of my 17th year at St. Bernard's and I am loving it and feel blessed to be here!
Education
I graduated High School from Oklee in 2001 and attended Northland Community and Technical College in Thief River Falls the following fall. I played volleyball for the Northland Pioneers for 2 years while earning my AA degree. I met my husband in 2003 while attending Northland. He was in the Criminal Justice program. Then I transferred to Minnesota State University Moorhead to complete my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. I graduated the spring of 2006 and started teaching at St. Bernard's the fall of 2006. I also married my husband, Adam in September of 2006.
That was a busy fall!
Family
I grew up in Oklee, MN. My parents are Mary Ann and the late Richard Lambert. I am the youngest of seven children. I have the BEST memories of my childhood! One fun memory was being the paper carrier for the Grand Forks Herald for many years...getting up at 5 a.m., delivering in the blizzards, in the pouring rain or over sleeping, then delivering and almost being late for school!
I am an auntie many times over, which I love! I love spending time with my family. Family is very important to me! I enjoy scrapbooking, making cards, cooking, playing piano and reading.
Christ is important in my life! I wasn't fortunate to attend a catholic school and I feel so fulfilled teaching about Jesus and his love for us, here at St. B's! I have the very best memories of activities and events in my church growing up, St. Francis Xavier Catholic church in Oklee. I loved helping out in the kitchen for any breakfast or meal being served, we would play on the stairs (probably a no-no), and I loved taking part in Mass.
My husband and I live in rural Thief River Falls. Adam works at Universal Screenprint. We have three sons.
We will navigate 3 separate schools this year. Keaton is 14 and likes playing card games, Legos, movies, riding bike and really enjoys video games. He will be starting 9th Grade as a freshman at LHS this fall. He can't wait to start drivers' education!
Karter is 11 years old and enjoys Legos and video games too. He enjoys playing most any sport or outdoor activity, especially roller blading. I'm excited to have him entering 6th grade at Franklin Middle school. Can't believe it though, wow how kids grow!
Korbin is 7 1/2 and he is such an enthusiastic boy that doesn't really sit still too long! He loves anything to do with sports, especially football! He also likes video games. I get to be his 2nd Grade teacher this year!
Khloe, our Chinese shar-pei puppy, joined our family October 2019.
She is a great pup and we adore her. We added another puppy to our house in January 2023. Kimi is our newest shar-pei girl!
Well, let's hope that sums me up a little!
